Widgets that Sell

Content owners and advertisers benefit from the transaction portability offered by AV Edge. Storefronts with shopping cart and checkout functions can be embedded directly within a web page.

Transactional Web Widgets: Minimize clicks-to-purchase with widgets that sell in real-time without ever leaving the page.

Built with Flash technology, which is universally accepted online, transactional widgets allow an advertiser or content publisher to place a storefront directly onto a web page.

Customers can buy direct from the content provider within the widget—there is no need to click through to a separate website. For example, a Rolling Stone blogger promotes the right to download songs directly from his fan blog—not by linking to Amazon, but by enabling his website to transact directly, using rights-based technology.

P2P Distribution

Peer-to-Peer Distribution: Give fans a chance to buy their favorite digital tracks legitimately by offering try/buy versions on P2P networks.

Leverage the reach of peer-to-peer (P2P) networks to deliver digital content by seeding or creating peer nodes on existing P2P networks like BitTorrent, eDonkey, Bearshare and more. Users of the P2P network are able to search and download content from the content providers just like they would from any other seeder on the network.

If the content is protected with digital rights management (DRM), the provider has the option to allow limited uses. For example, 20 second clips to a handful of playbacks are enabled before the user must purchase the content through a web store.

P2P networks, while known for piracy of digital content, still remain a viable means to distribute samples of digital content to inspire consumers to purchase rather than steal.

AV Edge lets content providers create and implement promotions that can be fulfilled at retail point of sale.
