Stefan Roever, President and CEO
As Navio’s founder and thought leader, Stefan is an evangelist for commerce and mobile business technologies. He was twice named “Technology Pioneer” by the World Economic Forum, whose members represent the worlds leading companies across the globe, Stefan co-founded Brokat Technologies in 1994 and served as CEO, growing it into a leading provider of Internet banking software and wireless application infrastructure with 1,400 employees in 17 countries, taking it public in 1998 in Germany, and in 2001 on the NASDAQ.
Named “Entrepreneur of the Year” in Germany in 1998 by Ernst & Young, Stefan was also ranked by Time as number 11 on its Digital 25 A-List of “25 people who will change the way you work, phone and play” in 2000. He founded Navio Systems, Inc., to bring the real-world model of “rights-based” transactions to the Internet.
